Below is a link to the Ottawa Police website wherein they outline a recent uprising in Real Estate fraud where people are listing homes for sale by owner for much lower than value to draw people in and try to secure deposits.

I have been hearing more and more about this happening and it’s certainly yet another great reason as to why you should have a fully licensed Realtor like myself working for you when you are searching for your next dreamhome.
